Three Named as Finalists for Young Sports Star Honour

English soccer star Michelle Agyemang, darts sensation Luke Littler and cricketer Davina Perrin have been named as finalists for the upcoming Young Sports Personality of the Year award.
These three athletes have been recognised for their outstanding achievements over the previous year.
Agyemang helped the Lionesses secure Euro 2025, Littler claimed the world title for the first time, and Perrin burst onto the scene with a unprecedented innings.
Littler won the award in 2024 after his sensational debut year.
The three contenders were announced live on a national radio breakfast show.
The champion will be unveiled on the annual sports awards show on the 18th of December.
The event will be aired from 19:00 GMT.
Agyemang's Profile

A mere three months after her first cap for her country, Agyemang played a dramatic and decisive role in England's run to European Championship victory.
She entered the fray to score key tying goals in both the last eight and last four matches.
These match-saving moments led to her being named Young Player of the Tournament.
Afterwards, she was awarded the prestigious Golden Girl honour for the best young player in Europe.
She was also shortlisted for the Kopa Trophy for the world's best under-21 female player.
Agyemang, who has been on loan at Brighton from Arsenal, suffered an ACL injury in October.
"To be named a finalist for this award is incredible," said Agyemang. "I thank God and I'm thankful for the support I've received from my inner circle and supporters."
The Darts Prodigy

Littler kicked off the year in incredible form as - while still 17 - he became the most youthful world title winner in history.
He secured a dominant victory over Michael van Gerwen in the final.
His follow-up triumph at the World Matchplay made him only the fifth individual to complete the prestigious three major tournament wins.
He didn't stop there - his triumph in November's Grand Slam of Darts meant he climbed to world number one for the maiden occasion.
At 18, he is the youngest man to do so, smashing the previous record.
"To receive a nomination for Young Sports Personality of the Year is a huge privilege," stated Littler. "Last year's win was a highlight for me and I've had another unbelievable 12 months. I want to continue raising the profile of darts."
The Cricket Sensation

Perrin is one of English cricket's most exciting young talents and rose to fame with an remarkable and historic innings in August.
Her sublime 42-ball century in The Hundred is the quickest ever by an English female in T20s.
It also stands as the equal third-quickest women's T20 century in a major league or full member T20 international.
Perrin ended up as runner-up in the batting rankings and was named PCA Women's Young Player of the Year.
