Week 10 again delivered, with a major surprise for the Bills demonstrating the 'any Sunday can bring surprises' saying that attracts so many fans into the National Football League

This outcome could have created things up for the New England Patriots to move back into a top spot they used to occupy, with a remaining games that provides them an advantage over their 8-2 rivals

Over in the National Football Conference the Seahawks and Los Angeles Rams had ideal outcomes to set up a monster clash next week, while our top performer is pursuing milestones as well as the Most Valuable Player award

Analysis - Simply an Off Day for Buffalo?

Josh Allen in action
Did Josh Allen attempt too much or was it just a poor performance for Buffalo?

Could it simply have been an emotional comedown from defeating Kansas City the previous week or a deeper issue? That's the question for the Bills to answer

The Buffalo squad had won seven in a row against Miami but were second best from the beginning as the Miami team ran out 30-13 winners in an surprising result - and performance

MVP quarterback Josh Allen only achieved the squad's initial first down in the third period and initial scoring in the final quarter - admittedly Miami had 10 days to prepare but it was nonetheless a significant failure laid by one of the NFL's best offenses

Dolphins quarterback Tua passed for two touchdowns but running back De'Von Achane was the game-changing factor, with 225 total yards and two touchdowns

Bottling up the NFL's top rushing attack was also key, with Cook and teammates recording just 86 yards, their fewest of the season and just over half their 161.5 yard season average

Then there were the three crucial turnovers, and the pair from Josh Allen specifically. An interception in the scoring area resulting in a nine minute drive yielded no points, and his fourth-quarter dropped ball that Miami converted to seven points just later

It was classic 'previous Bills teams' as they hurt themselves in the foot, falling into a hole on defense and Allen attempting to do too much to rescue his squad out of it - rather than the composed, controlled, balanced Bills we've witnessed this year

Miami have demonstrated a varied performances this year so the verdict is uncertain on whether this is the beginning of something, but for the Bills they'll require an instant response in a tough game against the Buccaneers in week 11 as the Patriots are sneaking into a comfortable advantage at the summit of the AFC East

Spotlight - New England See Path to Surprise Top Seed

Speaking of the Patriots, they're among three 8-2 teams in the NFL, all American Football Conference teams, but are they the best?

You can pick holes in the Patriots, Denver and the Colts really for feasting on the weaker opponents, with just five of their total twenty-four victories coming against opponents with a positive record - and one of those was the Indianapolis defeating the Broncos

Denver beat the champion Eagles in Philadelphia and are masters of the final quarter while Indy can ride Taylor, but the New England including Sunday's win in Tampa Bay to their prime time win in Orchard Park appears to be a statement

Their pair of losses occurred in new head coach Vrabel's initial three games, with seven consecutive victories, similar to Denver, from that point - but defeating Mayfield after the Bucs had a bye to get ready was huge

Maye's Most Valuable Player credentials won't go away, and he certainly deserves point for courage after absorbing some savage hits in Tampa Bay but hanging in there to guide his side to victory

The defensive unit is solid and first-year running back TreVeyon Henderson exploded on Sunday with 147 yards and two exhilerating scores of fifty-five and sixty-nine yards - becoming just the fifth different runner to exceed 22mph this season on his initial touchdown

While you can argue who 'the top team' is statistically, the Pats should be favorites to finish with the top record due to their remaining opponents - which features just one game against a winning team, albeit a significant contest against Buffalo

Visiting Baltimore is also tough, but Denver have it even tougher in the AFC West with the Chiefs to face two times, the Los Angeles Chargers (who might also challenge for first place but face the identical challenge) and also the Packers on the schedule

The Indianapolis also face the Kansas City, and have the Seahawks, San Francisco and two games with the 5-4 Jaguars to face. There's a long way to go but the door is available for a shock number one position in the American Football Conference

Next Week - Los Angeles and Seattle Prepare for Week 11 Clash

Both squads with solid claims to be better than all of the three eight and two sides are NFC West rivals the Seattle and Los Angeles, who both put up forty points to go to seven and two before next week's Hollywood blockbuster game between the two in Los Angeles

Both have secured four victories in a consecutive games, have signal callers in Matthew Stafford and Darnold playing at an high standard (although Darnold had turnover issues on game day) with excellent pass catchers, and defensive units allowing under 20 points a game

Both could easily be undefeated as too - especially the Los Angeles as their two defeats occurred in extra time against the 49ers and then that agonising loss in Philly when they had a game-winning kick with the last kick deflected and returned by the Eagles for a score

The Seahawks were also defeated to the 49ers, with a last-minute score in week one, before losing to the last kick of the contest against the Buccaneers - so they are truly two of the top teams in the NFL

The next matchup on Sunday could be the best of the year to date
